Animation in all of its varied forms falls at a crossroads of many artistic practices and has always been produced using the most cutting edge innovative technology. Knowledge and hands on experience in drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, music, acting and live-action films are the a few of the skills any animator must have. Recreating the illusion of life is a hefty task indeed.  A good animator must pursue knowledge and inspiration from all of these disciplines and the study of life and nature herself to create convincingly pleasing animation. Knowing these hefty pre-requites in advance of my formal education convinced me to pursue and immerse myself in as many of these subjects as I could sanely manage. Animation like most, if not all artistic practices, are lifelong pursuits that take years to master and years to relearn once the tools of animation change. Luckily I love to learn and I have a passion to create convincing animations that explain, educate and ultimately tell a story from a unique perspective.

 

My primary focus is in 2-D and 3-D computer animation and design which keeps me pretty busy. I have thousands of hours of experience creating production ready 3-D assets for pre-rendered video projects and real-time interactive media applications. My professional and personal animation projects represent a harmonious fusion of traditional art and design principles coupled with the latest computer graphics technology and workflows.
